Dr. Davies-Venn received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from The University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2006.  She subsequently attended Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston TX for her doctoral studies.  At BCM she was awarded a National Cancer Institute National Research Service Award to conduct research involving the development of a peptide conjugate for imaging lymphatic disease and graduated with her PhD in 2012.   Her current research focus as a fellow in Dr. Bluemke’s laboratory is the development of a molecular imaging agent for the detection and monitoring of cardiac fibrosis.
