The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will host a hybrid workshop May 8-9, 2023, called “Innovative Approaches to Improve Maternal Health.” The goal of this public workshop is to connect the research community with small businesses that are developing new approaches to improve maternal health and its associated health disparities.

NIBIB's National Technology Centers program is holding a series of webinars about the program and the technologies being developed.

The purpose of the second workshop in this series is to bring together DOE scientists, NIH scientists and extramural staff and NIH grantees, with two main goals: to identify opportunities for DOE and NIH (NIBIB and NCI) communities to collaborate on projects and to identify opportunities for NIH community to take advantage of existing state-of-the-art DOE technologies. There would be multiple sessions that focus on various topics in radiation detection, such as cameras and detectors, data acquisition and image reconstruction, and applications of AI.

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and participating Institutes and Centers (ICs) announced NOT-EB-21-001 - Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Small Business Initiatives for Innovative Diagnostic Technology for Improving Outcomes for Maternal Health. A pre-submission technical assistance webinar is being offered to inform potential applicants about the NOSI.
