Transformational Medicine in the Mitochondrial Age

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 - 17:00
Bethesda, MD

The poster submission website for the 4/2/14 NIH Mitochondria Interest Group (MIG) Symposium, convened at the Masur Auditorium in Building 10 on the NIH Campus to accentuate the Wednesday Afternoon Lecture series (WALs) lecture by National Academy Member Douglas C. Wallace (CHOP-UPENN), is available at http://2014migsymposium.eventbrite.com/.

Two poster abstracts will be chosen by intramural NIH scientists for platform presentations. Dr. Wallace will wrap up the Symposium with his WALs talk on "A Mitochondrial Etiology of Metabolic and Degenerative Diseases, Cancer, and Aging."

Registration for the Symposium is optional, but you must submit poster abstracts from the website by the 2/28/14 deadline. There is no fee for either the symposium or the WALS lecture.

The Symposium will be webcast live at http://videocast.nih.gov and will be archived there along with other MIG sponsored symposia (A MIG meeting was the first videocast archived on the NIH videocast site in 1997).

Additional information on housing, travel and Poster preparation is on the website.

Sign Language Interpreters will be provided. Individuals with disabilities who need reasonable accommodation to participate in this event should contact name and office, email address, telephone number, and/or the Federal Relay (1-800-877-8339).
