Acoustic Tweezers Precisely Position Fragile Crystals for X-ray Analysis

NIBIB-funded researchers have developed a device that uses acoustic waves to move small objects. The technique is being used to position samples of crystals that were previously too small to handle to allow their structure to be analyzed with X-ray crystallography.
