Biomedical Engineer Sangeeta Bhatia Wins the Lemelson-MIT Prize

NIBIB-supported biomedical engineer Sangeeta Bhatia has won the $500,000 Lemelson-MIT Prize in recognition of her work in designing and commercializing miniaturized technologies that seek to improve human health. Examples include developing a way to detect cancer through a paper urine test and building a microliver from scratch that can be used to help fight infectious diseases.
