Electric Fields May Guide Wound-Healing Cells

NIBIB-funded researchers and their collaborators are investigating the role of electrical fields for guiding healing cells to wound sites. The research team is using the single-cell amoeba Dictyostelium to search for genes involved in movement in response to electrical fields, known as electrotaxis. Read more at egghead at UC Davis.
