Oxygen Measurements in Deep-sited Tumors Offer Improved Treatment

NIBIB-funded scientists have developed a novel technique to improve cancer and stroke treatment in deep sites based on oxygen levels in the tumor or site of the stroke. The new technique of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance can detect high oxygen levels in disease sites that are deep inside the body.
