Dr. Tromberg provided welcoming remarks at the 12th Annual Academy Medical Imaging Technology Showcase, held March 5, 2024, on Capitol Hill.

NIBIB Director Dr. Bruce Tromberg was elected to the 2024 class of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for leading the institute in its response to the global pandemic and creating innovative diagnostics.

Bruce Tromberg is co-author of a Policy Forum article in Science that describes the NIH response, including development of diagnostics, during the pandemic. The NIH experience will help inform public health and response to future pandemics.
