Denzel Ryan Cruz received his B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 2020, specializing in therapeutics engineering and minoring in chemistry. He is a postbaccalaureate IRTA fellow at the NIBIB Laboratory of Cellular Imaging and Macromolecular Biophysics, analyzing the structure of thrombi from electron microscopy images. His interests lie in therapeutics and imaging, including nanotechnology and contrast agents. In his free time, he enjoys performing music as a percussionist as well as playing basketball and tennis.
