Dr. Song obtained his B.S. from Hebei Langfang Normal College (China, 2007). Later, he received his M.S. in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Shandong University (China, 2010). He received his PhD degree in Chemical and Biomedical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore, 2014). His research was focused on creating novel nanomaterials for drug delivery, bioimaging and cancer therapy, including polymeric and plasmonic assemblies, quantum dots, nano- and micro-particles. In 2014, he joined the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) where he has since been a member of the Laboratory of Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine. Jibin’s current research interests include synthesis of biocompatible nanoparticles for biomarker detection, in vivo imaging, and drug/gene delivery.
