Khalil Chughtai is a Bioengineer with a background in biomedical instrumentation. During his undergraduate studies he led the efforts to fully engineer, manufacture, and assemble ASPID, a device that increases sustainability by sorting between reusable and non-reusable medical instruments. Additionally, Khalil conducted undergraduate research in methods to differentiate between aggressive and non-aggressive cancer cells. He joined The Division of Interdisciplinary Training in 2021 as a Scientific Program Analyst. Among other duties that promote the goals of the division, Khalil manages the R13 process for NIBIB which provides support for investigator-initiated conferences and meetings that advances the vision of this institute center. Khalil is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Data Analytics Engineering.
